The Breda 30 light machine gun was the standard used by the Royal Italian Army during WWII. Although widely regarded as a highly flawed design, it unfortunately also had the distinction of being the most deadly weapon in the Italian infantryman’s arsenal. The Breda 30 had a very low rate of fire due to the reload and complicated barrel switching, it was given to jamming when dust or debris entered the chamber, and it held a very small number of bullets.
