Unlike ac transformers, Litepacs provide a fully regulated and filtered dc output that can actually extend bulb life by 50% or more. A ‘lamp saver’ circuit helps prevent harmful ac lin surges or spikes from destroying delicate 1.5 volt micro bulbs. The unit will shut down in the event of an overload, overheating or excessive current draw. Comes fully assembled with instructions and mounting hardware. The GRS125 regulator will convert a 4-20 volt ac input into a steady 1.45 volt dc output capable of powering 25 or more 1.5 volt, 15 ma micro bulbs on a layout or in a diorama. Measure 3-1/2″ x 2″ x 3/4″ height.
