Henschel 33 D1 Kfz.72 WWII German Radio Communication Truck 1/35 ICM Models

Germany began to build up their modern army after 1933. An important part of Wehrmacht motorization was the manufacturing of three-axle 3 t trucks. The most numerous of these was the Henschel 33. It was on the production lines from 1934 to 1942. The modification D1 featured a 6-cylinder petrol engine. In total about 22,000 Henschel 33 were produced. Some chassis had special bodies, including the Kfz.72 van body. These machines were used as receivers and transmitters for powerful A/B mobile radio stations.
