He 111H-3 WWII German Bomber 1/48 ICM Models

In the beginning of the 1930s an idea emerged that a high-speed bomber could outstrip contemporary fighters. One aircraft borne of this concept was the twin-engine bomber He 111, designed by Heinkel in Germany. Production of the He 111H-3, with a liquid-cooled Jumo 211D-1 engine and more powerful armament, were first produced in November 1939.  By early 1940 over five hundred He 111H-3 bombers were produced and they took part in all Luftwaffe operations through 1940 and 1941.
