Just before World War II, the Fiat G.50 was one of the main fighter aircraft of the Royal Italian Air Force. The first version of this place to be mass produced was the G.50-II. Together with the Fiat CR.42 biplane fighters, this plane formed the backbone of the Corpo Aero Italiano in the Battle of Britain.
